Jefferson Avenue Reconstruction, Ayrault Road to NY Route 31F
Monroe County DOT, Town of Perinton, New York

This Federal-Aid Pass-Thru project included the reconstruction of approximately 6,700 LF of existing two-lane roadway extending from Ayrault Road to Fairport Road (NY Route 31F) in the Town of Perinton. The project, administered by Monroe County DOT, included complete pavement reconstruction of this primarily residential street, which serves as a connector link to the highly commercial section of Fairport Road on the east. In addition to providing Construction Phase Services, Larsen was also responsible for conducting all environmental screenings and assessments related to the reconstruction alternatives, including preparation of NEPA Checklist, SEQR determination, and analysis of ecology, groundwater, wetlands, Historic resources, hazardous wastes and asbestos.  

 

Larsen Engineers provided a Senior Inspector on this Jefferson Avenue Reconstruction project. Work included the installation of 4700 LF of 8” and 12” PVC sanitary sewer and 30 manholes, laterals and cleanouts within the Right-of-way for 67 homes, and construction of a duplex-pump wastewater pump station. The inspector’s duties included inspection of all construction associated with the sanitary sewer system, preparation of inspection reports, overseeing the testing of the sewers and manholes, measurement of quantities for payment, recording as-built information and coordination with homeowners, Town of Perinton and the County inspection staff.

 


 

Science Building #15, Phase 1

SUNY Buffalo Science BuildingAs a sub consultant to Bovis Lend Lease, Larsen Engineers provided design review services associated with the civil, structural and architectural components of the proposed new Science Building #15 (Phase I). Constructability plan review comments as well as value engineering services to reduce overall project costs were presented to Bovis Lend Lease for incorporation into the design review. Larsen also provided on-site administrative staff and part-time inspection of the on-going construction of the new Science Building #15.

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Bridge Painting Inspection
Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties, NYSDOT Region 7

Larsen Engineers provided a Consultant Inspector on in the construction inspection of various NYSDOT projects located in the counties comprising Region 7 of the New York State Department of Transportation. This assignment involved the inspection of a contract covering the painting of 8 bridges in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties in NE New York. The inspector was responsible for writing daily reports which included work completed each day and a record of payments due to the contractor. Field tests were also conducted to measure mils of paint.
