Rochester Transit Center breaks ground with an expected completion date of Spring 2015. Larsen is a subconsultant to Bergmann Associates on this RGRTA Project. The project is aiming to achieve LEED Silver certification.

The Village of Lyons has installed new infrastructure at the Wastewater Treatment Plant including solar panels, a green roof, rainwater harvesting system and energy efficient lighting. Larsen Engineers prepared the grant application, was responsible for the design and construction management.

Governor Cuomo Calls for Major Expansion to the NY Sun Initiative!
Last year, Governor Andrew Cuomo created the NY-Sun solar jobs program to help promote the use of solar power in New York. His goal of NY-Sun is to not only install twice as much customer-sited solar photovoltaic capacity in 2013, but help create well-paying skilled jobs, make the electric grid more reliable and help reduce air pollution to provide a healthier way of life. With the way the program is running now, Governor Cuomo, has authorized the NY-Sun program through 2015 and proposes to extend the program through 2023, dependent on annual funding levels under this program. NYSERDA Grant Funding available for Dairy Farms. Funds the design, purchase, installation and operation of New Anaerobic Digester Gas to Electricity Systems using dairy farm wastes. Minimum 100KW power generation. up to $2 million per project. First round deadline was January 31st, new round expected to be announced soon! Click here for more grant oppourtunities.

Larsen Engineers participated in United Way's Day of Caring on Wednesday May 10th. The Larsen Team helped with weeding, mulching and planting flowers on the grounds of the Carlson Metrocenter YMCA in downtown Rochester. This is our second year in a row helping with the Carlson Metrocenter YMCA.

Larsen Engineers received “Outstanding Project Award” from the Rochester Chapter of The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) for the Monroe County Public Safety Laboratory (Crime Lab) Project. As part of LaBella’s Team, Larsen performed Site and Utility Design which included a concrete pervious pavement parking lot for LEED Platinum Certification.

"Learn how to reduce your family’s energy usage and monthly energy costs. The Town of Perinton will hold a Green Energy Fair from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday, April 9th at the Perinton Community Center in Room 204. It will feature a variety of businesses that can suggest energy-saving ideas, services and programs that are available to Perinton residents. This free event will include displays, games, raffle prizes, kids’ activities and live demonstrations."
